Uma das entidades mais representativas de Pernambuco no meio rural, o Sindicato dos Trabalhadores e Trabalhadoras Assalariados Rurais de Petrolina (STTAR), cada dia vem provando sua importância para a classe. Atualmente, o sindicato representa 22 mil associados espalhados por toda a área irrigada que pertence a circunscrição da entidade.
Em entrevista aos Radialistas Cauby Fernandes e Vinicius de Santana, ao Dupla Conexão, programa da marca Ponte FM em Petrolina, a presidente do STTAR, Lucilene Lira, a ‘Leninha’, entre muitos assuntos, destacou que o Sindicato, apesar dos entraves no governo Bolsonaro em relação à classe trabalhista, ainda assim, a entidade se mantém tão forte quanto antes.
Para aqueles que não lembram, depois de constatada a frágil situação financeira dos sindicatos brasileiros, com Jair Bolsonaro na presidência, a situação ao que parece vai piorar. Isso porque as entidades estão na mira do atual governo que, sem discussão prévia, aprovou a Medida Provisória (MP) 873, que determina novas regras para o recolhimento da contribuição sindical.
A presidente do STTAR, Lucilene Santos, Leninha, desabafou sobre o grupo político que ela apoiou, mas que hoje apoiam a Reforma da Previdencia. “A nossa luta é de resistência. Lutamos pelo desenvolvimento sustentável e pelos direitos dos trabalhadores e trabalhadoras assalariados, tendo sempre como centro a valorização do trabalho, do emprego e garantia de renda digna. Seguiremos juntos nesta batalha. Há uma frustração por parte dos trabalhadores em relação à Reforma, que na verdade é uma deforma. A gente não pode deixar ela passar! Sou aliada, e não alienada”, desabafou.
