Por volta das 02h da madrugada, desta sexta (02), elementos fortemente armados, arrombaram e explodiram os caixas eletrônicos da agência do Banco Brasil da cidade de Carnaíba, Pernambuco, no Sertão do Pajeú.
A ação durou cerca de 30 minutos e teve o mesmo modelo adotado nas investidas a agências no estado. Com as explosões, a agência pegou fogo.
Muitos tiros foram disparados para o alto. A agência era uma das poucas da região que ainda não havia sido alvo desse tipo de ação pela dificuldade logística de fuga. Aparentemente o crime foi bastante estudado pelos criminosos. Eles sabiam por exemplo o lado em que ficava o cofre e foram cirúrgicos.
Os criminosos fugiram pela PE 320. Não há pistas deles e a polícia está no local. Homens do GATI também foram acionados.
Relatos indicam que o grupo usava armamento pesado e deixou a cidade atirando e gritando, como forma de evitar qualquer tipo de reação. Avisavam às pessoas para não chamar a polícia. Fugiram em um único carro.
Eles bloquearam o acesso à cidade em frente à AABB queimando um caminhão para dificultar a ação de policiais. Por conta disso o carro do Corpo de Bombeiros teve dificuldade de chegar ao local para conter as chamas. Só às 4h18, praticamente duas horas após a ação é que conseguiram chegar ao local das chamas.
A violência da ação lembrou a de fevereiro do ano passado quando a agência de Porto de Galinhas foi explodida e também pegou fogo.
A gerente está no local e disse a populares que havia dinheiro em caixa. O início de mês é escolhido justamente pelo período de pagamento de aposentados, pensionistas e servidores. “Se não levaram tudo, o fogo consumiu”, disse a pessoas que estavam no local.

Ainda não se sabe quantos homens praticaram o ato criminoso e nem mesmo a quantia subtraída pelos assaltantes. Pessoas que dependiam da agência agora terão que se deslocar para cidades como Afogados da Ingazeira.
