O presidente Michel Temer (PMDB) realizará, amanhã (10), a inauguração do Eixo Leste do projeto da Transposição do Rio São Francisco que vai levar água encanada do Velho Chico à Paraíba. De acordo com o Palácio do Planalto, a solenidade, que estava marcada para o sábado, foi antecipada por causa da aceleração da vazão da água.
A agenda de Temer na Paraíba começa cedo em Campina Grande, onde deve assinar uma Ordem de Serviço liberando recursos para melhorias na BR 230 e visitará o Complexo Habitacional Multimodal Aluízio Campos. Na sequência, o presidente irá visitar cidade de Sertânia, no interior de Pernambuco e segue para Monteiro, na microrregião do Cariri paraibano. Os horários das visitas ainda não foram divulgados pelo Palácio do Planalto.
Essa é a quarta visita do chefe de estado ao Nordeste, sendo a primeira enquanto presidente interino, em menos de um ano de mandato. O senador Fernando Bezerra Coelho integra a Comitiva Presidencial para a inauguração de estruturas do Eixo Leste da Transposição.
