A Polícia Federal (PF) deflagrou, nesta sexta-feira (16) a Operação Timóteo contra um esquema de corrupção que fraudava os valores de royalties de mineração devidos por mineradoras a municípios.
De acordo com a Reuters, a Vale está entre as companhias que serão vasculhadas pela corporação. O esquema teria participação de um diretor do Departamento Nacional de Produção Mineral (DNPM) que procurava prefeitos para oferecer envolvimento no esquema de corrupção.
Ainda segundo a agência, o líder religioso Silas Malafaia teria envolvimento no caso de lavagem de dinheiro.
