O deputado Silas Freire (PODE-PI) apresentou uma proposta que, caso seja aprovada, proíbe “a denominação de logradouros, obras, serviços e monumentos públicos, com nome de autoridades que tenham sido condenadas por ilícitos penais, civis ou administrativos em tribunais superiores ou colegiados de segunda instância”.
Como ressaltou a coluna de Lauro Jardim, do O Globo, se Lula for condenado pelo TRF e a lei for aprovada, o ex-presidente não poderá batizar uma rua sequer com seu nome. Coincidentemente, o projeto de lei foi apresentado à Câmara dos Deputados um dia depois da condenação do ex-presidente pelo juiz Sérgio Moro.
