Projeto do ProRural irá beneficiar 93 famílias dos sítios Caiçara e Serrinha, localizados no município de Afogados da Ingazeira, Sertão do Pajeú.
Um Poço, o sistema de abastecimento de água e um chafariz serão instalados nas comunidades, a um custo de R$160.781,26, financiados pelo Banco Mundial, através da Secretaria de Agricultura e Reforma Agrária (SARA), por meio do Programa.
Numa região de estiagem prolongada, que já provocou inclusive o colapso do maior reservatório da região, a Barragem de Brotas, a construção do sistema de abastecimento vai contribuir para minimizar os problemas provocados pelo longo período de seca no Estado, sanar deficiências hídricas dos sítios e obter ganhos produtivos para a Associação Pequenos Produtores de Caiçara.
O projeto, já aprovado no ProRural, entrou em processo de licitação na última semana. Em reunião realizada na Associação de Caiçara, os técnicos da Unidade de Gestão Territorial do ProRural em Afogados da Ingazeira apresentaram as propostas para os produtores familiares beneficiados pelo projeto. Agora, o processo seguirá para as análises técnicas e jurídicas, e para execução.
