Petrolina: água nas torneiras está salobra! Moradores reclamam do gosto

Moradores de vários bairros de Petrolina , cobram uma melhor qualidade da água que é distribuída na comunidade. A reclamação é que a água tem apresentado gosto forte de sal.Em 2008 o então prefeito Odacy Amorim, tomou uma decisão importante visando a saúde do petrolinense e tinha aberto um trecho do Riacho da Vitória que em períodos chuvosos suas águas caiam no ponto de captação da Compesa.

Agora, o petrolinense está bebendo mais uma vez nesse período, a famosa água de sal.
A dona de casa Ednalva Costa mora há 18 anos e conta que o problema surgiu há alguns dias no bairro. “A água está vindo na torneira está com muito sal. Por volta de 22h, eu encho o filtro e ao tomar da água o gosto forte do sal é logo sentido ao paladar. Tá difícil, e justamente em época de pandemia”, alerta a dona de casa.
Segundo Ednalva, esse não é o primeiro problema encontrado na comunidade em relação ao abastecimento de água. “Toda vida tivemos problema, porém me lembro que isso tinha acabado. Em minha casa somos cinco pessoas e não tenho condições de comprar água mineral. Muita gente está sentindo mal”,conclui a dona de casa.
A comerciante Adriana Barbosa e Silva disse que está dificil consumir a água. “Está muito ruim a água que vem na torneira está muito clorada. Muita gente tem que comprar água mesmo sem condições. Sinto a diferença, o gosto é horrível e já tive ânsia e dor de barriga algumas vezes”, conta.
No começo do mês de março de 2020, Odacy Amorim, em entrevista ao radialista Cauby Fernandes na Ponte FM, já havia feito um alerta em relação ao assunto. O problema se localiza no Riacho Vitória, principal estação de tratamento da cidade.
“Busquei ajuda na Codevasf, que me acompanhou na solicitação que fiz no começo do ano. Também alertei a Compesa, provoquei o Ministério Público, que determinou a resolução do problema. Enviei ainda ofício à prefeitura, solicitando alguma medida. Mas não vi nada ainda ser feito.Estou realmente preocupado com a falta de uma solução já orientada pelo Ministério Público”, reclamou Odacy.
“Alertei na reunião que essas paredes que fecharam o Riacho poderão causar danos na qualidade da água que consumimos aqui na cidade. Se não for feita a abertura do Riacho, que se coloque o flutuante o quanto antes. Estou pedindo uma audiência na Codevasf e vou levar a ata da reunião ao Ministério Público, porque é simples a solução fazendo a captação da água mais dentro do rio com o flutuante e assim, evitando que a contaminação volte. As chuvas podem chegar, sem que nada tenha sido feito. Isso é preocupante”, concluiu Odacy Amorim.
