O Brasil entrou em campo contra o México na disputa pela vaga nas quartas de final na manhã desta segunda-feira (02/06), em Samara, na Rússia. O México começou ofensivo, mas a equipe brasileira se recuperou e garantiu a participação na próxima fase.
Neymar e Roberto Firmino foram os responsáveis pelos gols da partida.
Aos cinco minutos do segundo tempo, Neymar arrancou pelo lado esquerdo, atraiu toda a marcação, ajeitou de calcanhar para Willian e recebeu de volta abrindo o placar. Quase no fim do jogo, o técnico Tite fez a substituição de Phellipe Coutinho por Roberto Firmino, que marcou o segundo do Brasil.
Com o resultado, o México continua com a “maldição” de nunca passar das oitavas de final em Copas do Mundo. A equipe mexicana nunca marcou gols diante do Brasil em mundiais.
Na sexta-feira (06/07), às 15h o Brasil entrará em campo diante do Japão ou Bélgica, em Kazan, cidade russa.
