Não era meu jornalista predileto. Mas a morte de PH é uma perda para o jornalismo brasileiro. Perda maior ainda para o jornalismo militante e engajado de esquerda no Brasil. Ainda que seja, em parte, uma militância midiática paga para sê-lo.
Espero que ninguém aplauda a sua morte. Adversário político se derrota nas urnas. E nenhuma morte deveria ser motivo de celebração. E se para vencermos quem pensa diferente for preciso vê-lo morto, então perdemos o mínimo da nossa capacidade de lutar com nobreza para obter vitória.
Mesmo discordando, muitas vezes, dele e suas crônicas, reconheço seu peso e importância para o jornalismo brasileiro. Posto isso, peço que Deus console sua esposa e filha. Agora é com Deus. Um dia todos partiremos. Respeitemos isso, sem zombarias.

Na manha desta quarta-feira (10), morreu o jornalista Paulo Henrique Amorim, aos 77 anos, de enfarte, no Rio de Janeiro. A informação foi divulgada pela TV Globo.
Na última semana, o jornalista foi afastado do programa ‘Domingo Espetacular’ por conta de suas declarações polêmicas em seu blog, ‘Conversa Afiada’, onde vinha fazendo duras críticas ao governo Jair Bolsonaro. Nos bastidores, muitos apontaram o desligamento do programa como uma retaliação da direção da emissora que apoia o presidente da República.
