Emenda do líder do Senado no governo (e não o contrário) na reforma administrativa foi derrotada na votação da Câmara, mostrando que ela não atendia a interesses do governo nem dos parlamentares. E a razão, meramente pessoal, é explicada pelo fato de no dia seguinte o TRF 4 bloquear R$ 285 milhões do patrimônio do senador Fernando Bezerra Coelho, acusado pela Lava Jato de receber propinas de Queiroz Galvão, OAS e Camargo Correa nas obras da refinaria de Abreu e Lima em seu Estado, Pernambuco.
