Depois de levantarmos a bandeira para que os vereadores voltassem de fato aos trabalhos normais no segundo semestre, ao que parece, os vereadores entenderam que ter apernas uma sessão por semana era muito pouco. Então, a Câmara de Vereadores de Petrolina anunciou, nesta segunda-feira (26), o retorno das sessões plenárias, após um mês de recesso parlamentar. As reuniões estão previstas para voltarem no dia 3 de agosto, com a retomada das duas reuniões semanais (às terças e quintas-feiras), a partir das 9h, a serem realizadas no Plenário da Casa.
O que ainda não entendemos é a decisão do presidente de não permitir que o público acompanhe as sessões ordinárias se está provado que a Casa Plínio Amorim tem realizado as reuniões com todas as precauções e cuidados que são exigidos pelas autoridades sanitárias. De acordo com a presidência, terão acesso ao plenário apenas assessores, vereadores e profissionais de imprensa. A população, de forma geral, poderá acompanhar as reuniões por meio da transmissão remota, pelo canal oficial da Casa no YouTube.
