‘Capitã Cloroquina’ recorre ao STF para ficar em silêncio na CPI da Covid

A defesa da médica Mayra Pinheiro, conhecida como “Capitã cloroquina”, apresentou um pedido de habeas corpus preventivo ao Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) solicitando que ela, assim como o ex-ministro Eduardo Pazuello, tenha o direito de ficar em silêncio na presença dos senadores. A informação é da coluna do Ancelmo Gois, do O GLOBO.
“Esse temor se mostra justificado, em decorrência da crescente agressividade com que têm sido tratados os depoentes que ali comparecem para serem ouvidos. A falta de urbanidade no tratamento dispensado às testemunhas, proibindo-as, inclusive, do exercício da prerrogativa contra a auto-incriminação”, diz trecho da petição.
Mayra tem testemunho agendado para quinta-feira, dia 20 de maio. No início do ano, ela viajou com uma comitiva para o Amazonas, poucos dias antes de o sistema de saúde do estado colapsar por falta de oxigênio, para propagar o uso de medicamentos como ivermectina e cloroquina, ambos sem eficácia comprovada contra a doença.
