Um tiroteio durante um festival de música country em Las Vegas neste domingo (1º/10) deixou ao menos 50 mortos e 100 feridos. A polícia informou que um atirador foi abatido. Entre os feridos, 12 estão em estado grave.
Dezenas de viaturas policiais se dirigiram ao festival Route 91 Harvest na Las Vegas Strip, uma das famosas avenidas da cidade repleta de hotéis e cassinos, após as autoridades receberem relatos de que um atirador disparava no local.
Pouco depois, a polícia afirmava não acreditar que houvesse outros atiradores envolvidos no incidente.
Uma parte da Las Vegas Strip foi fechada ao público e todos os voos foram temporariamente interrompidos no aeroporto McCarran International.
