Tentando manter em “casa” o mandato, os políticos que estão em seus ocasos na vida pública, vão em busca de eleger seus filhos ou parentes mais próximos nas eleições 2020. Nos últimos dias, o vereador Zé Batista da Gama, tem comunicado a aliados que irá lançar o filho, Winderson Batista, candidato a vereador no próximo ano.
Assim como aconteceu com Rodrigo Araújo, filho de Durval Araújo, ex-vereador, em 2016, Zé Batista tentará imprimir o mesmo ritmo. O vereador que é discreto,afirmou que uma das qualidades do filho, é ser “cara de pau”, e que o rapaz não tem dificuldades em fazer novas amizades. Outro também que poderá lançar a filha como candidata, é Domingos de Cristália, já que em eventual condenação política,o vereador poderá ficar inelegível e, a saída , seria tentar manter o poder da legislatura em seu terreno, e essa, seria a medida a ser tomada.

Então você acaba tendo famílias formando verdadeiros clãs políticos, que se perpetuam na vida pública através de uma política tradicionalista, patriarcal e muitas vezes patrimonialista”, avalia o pesquisador Rodrigo Prando, da Mackenzie.

Como o anúncio aberto das candidaturas poderia despertar tensões entre aliados e até a atenção da Justiça, articulações pelas candidaturas ainda seguem restritas aos bastidores. “Como pode mexer com a base de outros vereadores ou configurar propaganda antecipada, ainda é difícil falar”, diz um vereador que preferiu não se identificar.
Ele destaca, no entanto, que Zé Batista da Gama tem confirmado “abertamente” para aliados a tese de lançar o filho para a Câmara dos vereadores, e isso para ele é ruim, por que mexe com a base. Com a proximidade do ano eleitoral, tradicionais lideranças do município já caíram na estrada acompanhados de seus sucessores políticos.
Nas últimas semanas, por exemplo, diversos vereadores e ex- vereadores, tem percorrido diversos logradouros em Petrolina com os filhos e filhas, aos fins de semana, participado de eventos, entrega de ações do prefeito e, se reunindo com lideranças políticas do Interior da Capital do sertão.
Apesar de os herdeiros serem quase sempre jovens, Rodrigo Prando destaca que isso nem sempre representa “renovação”. “Colocar alguém novo, mas indicado pelo pai para seguir os mesmos passos dele, não representa renovação, mas simplesmente uma continuidade mascarada”.
