Um quarto dos municípios brasileiros estão em estado de emergência por conta das secas e inundações registradas no país. Os dados têm como base informações do Ministério da Integração Nacional.
O período de seca, um dos mais severos já registrados, está concentrado na região Nordeste e no norte de Minas Gerais. Já as inundações deixam um rastro de destruição no outro extremo do país, principalmente nas regiões Sul e Sudeste.
Há ainda municípios afetados pelos dois fenômenos ambientais, como Novo Triunfo, localizado no nordeste da Bahia, que está sendo afetado tanto pelas chuvas quanto pela estiagem.
