A erradicação do trabalho infantil e os direitos da criança e do adolescente serão discutidos em uma Audiência Pública que acontece nesta terça-feira (20), em Petrolina. O encontro promovido pela prefeitura faz parte de uma série de ações que vêm sendo desenvolvidas no município com objetivo de reduzir a exploração do trabalho infantil e conscientizar a população sobre o crime.
A coordenadora das Ações Estratégicas do Programa de Erradicação do Trabalho Infantil, Mara Marilac, destaca a necessidade de cumprir a legislação em defesa das crianças. “É muito importante que todos estejam envolvidos nas discussões para que nós possamos junto, de fato, cumprir o que diz o Estatuto da Criança e Adolescente”, disse.
A audiência organizada pela Secretaria de Desenvolvimento Social e Direitos Humanos, conta com apoio do Conselho da Criança e do Adolescente e deve contar com a participação do Conselho Tutelar; Vara da Infância e Juventude; Polícia Militar, entre outros órgãos ligados à proteção social. O encontro será conduzido pelo coordenador estadual do Programa de Erradicação do Trabalho Infantil (Peti) Leônidas Leal.
O evento acontecerá a partir das 8h, no auditório do Instituto de Gestão Previdenciária do Município (Igeprev), localizado na Avenida José de Sá Maniçoba, nº 200, Centro.
