O governo federal revogou o decreto que extinguia a Reserva Nacional do Cobre e associados (Renca), na região da Amazônia, editado na semana passada, e publica nesta segunda-feira, em edição extra do Diário Oficial, um novo texto explicitando a proibição da exploração mineral nas áreas de unidades de conservação, reservas ambientais estaduais e indígenas dentro da antiga Renca.
Segundo o ministro do Meio Ambiente, José Sarney Filho (PV), o governo sentiu a necessidade de “clarificar” o decreto anterior para garantir que a proibição não havia sido revogada.
