A principal preocupação, diz, é com o descumprimento da tabela de fretes implantada em 2018.”Queremos uma medida rápida para aumentar a fiscalização”, diz ele. “Com relação ao diesel, que está subindo como subia antes [da greve], tem que arrumar um mecanismo para segurar os aumentos”, completou. Chorão reconhece que a categoria está insatisfeita, mas diz ser contra paralisação neste momento. Nos últimos dias, começaram a surgir rumores sobre a realização de uma greve como a de 2018, que parou o país por duas semanas. Há uma semana, o presidente Jair Bolsonaro foi às redes sociais anunciar a cobrança por medidas para segurar a alta dos combustíveis.
Em 2019, o preço do diesel vendido pela Petrobras já acumula alta de 18,5%, acompanhando a escalada das cotações internacionais do petróleo. Segundo especialistas, a estatal poderia ter feito aumentos maiores, mas optou por operar com defasagem em relação ao mercado internacional.
Nesta terça, a empresa anunciou que os reajustes no preço do diesel terão um prazo mínimo de 15 dias, alterando política de preços implementada em julho de 2017, que autorizava a área comercial da companhia a praticar reajustes diários. A Petrobras argumenta que a nova política aumenta a previsibilidade para o consumidor e não traz prejuízos, ao prever o uso de mecanismos financeiros de proteção, conhecidos como hedge. A estatal anunciou ainda estudos para o lançamento de cartão que permitirá a compra de diesel a preço fixo em postos da BR.”
